Corebound

Welcome to the bridge

2026-10-30 · Casual redesign, step 1 · Interface

Our first playtest said it plainly: too many numbers, too many lists, too many decisions before anything happens. Fleet Commander is meant for five-minute breaks, so this step is about doing more with fewer taps. The rules did not change.

Two screens instead of three tabs

Attack with one tap

Tap a pirate sector and one line tells you how it would go: easy win, even fight, risky or too strong for your fleet right now. This is not a guess – the game fights the battle five times in the background with your strongest ready ships and counts the wins. Attack launches exactly that fleet. Picking ships, doctrine, retreat and abilities is still there, under Advanced….

Next step

A small card above the map suggests the most useful thing to do right now: a battle waiting for you, an easy target, a free shipyard, a ship without a pilot or an upgrade you can afford. One button does it. When everything is running, the card tells you when the next result comes in – a good moment to close the game.

Fewer numbers

The resource bar now shows an icon, the amount and how full your storage is. Yields, garrisons and distances are still one tap away under Details.

Next

Shorter cycles, so that five minutes always bring visible progress, and goals for longer sessions.
